The movie story is centered around a young couple, Adi (Aditya Roy Kapur) and Tara (Shraddha Kapoor) who are in a live-in relationship in Mumbai with each having their own plan for their future yet agreeing to live together until that moment without a prospect of marriage. It is said that AR Rahman has composed three new songs for the hindi version Ok Janu and these three songs will replace Parandhu Sella Vaa, Sinamika and Malargal Kaetten from O Kadhal Kanmani Tamil version. Music album has OK Jaanu title track which is the first song released from OK Jaanu sung by A.R. Rahman, Srinidhi Venkatesh. OK Jaanu album will have seven songs.
